The Oracle

OracleWordOracleWord2

The Oracle is complete! I’m very pleased with how this one turned out since it combines old and new personal aesthetics. She’s all framed up and ready to go to the It’s Alive Exhibition at the Minnesota Center for Book Arts. It’s a horror themed show going up just in time for Halloween. If you’re in the area between August 5 to October 31, 2016 you should stop in and check it out!

Oracle WIP

It’s been a while since I’ve posted anything, so I thought I’d share a little wip with you guys. I’m still debating on how I want to execute the final piece, so working digitally is a great way to experiment without ruining the original sketch. 👍

The man, the myth, the legend

Sorry for the radio silence folks! I’ve been experimenting with other social media platforms and have been conflicted as to what kind of blog I want this to be.

While I’m figuring it out, here’s a recent portrait commission to tide you over.

Watercolors and Postcards

Andromeda 1967Mama 001 copy

So, recently I traded some of my old childhood treasures for some new Windsor Newton watercolors. To test them out, I did a small postcard watercolor illustration of my grandmother. They worked wonderfully, and I can’t wait to try out all the colors and test the limits of what they can do. Stay tuned for more in the near future.
